Wasabi Power Battery for Panasonic DMW-BLF19 and Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH3, DMC-GH4, DC-GH5, DC-GH5S, DC-G9

I have been searching for an aftermarket battery that doesn't cost $70 like the panasonic cells do, but gives comparable performance. Finally, this is it! I first weighed this and the OEM cell on a scale - they are within 0.1 gram of each other, a good sign. After testing, the runtime and battery indicator on my gh5 are identical between the wasabi and panasonic. This is the one to buy.

Been using wasabi batteries on my lumix and canon cameras for years now. They work great and haven’t let me down yet.

Running low on batteries is never something you want to run into, and because of this, we typically overload our stock with batteries to grab and go from when we send our kits mobile. We use a number of GH5 kits for shooting video with and so we have a number of batteries lying around now, including a handful of these Wasabi. We find that the price for these batteries is quite the steal compared to what the Panasonic batteries go for. However, despite the battery itself claiming to be a higher mAh (2000mAh ) than the Panasonic batteries (1860mAh), we find that the units we have tested out thus far do not live up to the claim as they die faster than the original Panasonic option. Despite this, it is useful to be able to buy a handful of them at a cheaper price than a single Panasonic original, so they still have a benefit their being available within our stock as it helps to refocus budgets to other items as well. However, if these were able to stand toe to toe with the original batteries, these would be a perfect 5/5 solution that would be selling off the shelves, hands down. Haven't used the original or this one enough to really compare anything long term. Short term this seems to very good, and gives the insurance of not running out of battery on a busy day.

I was skeptical at first buying a 3rd party camera battery but after using this for a few months on my GH3, I can say this is a great buy. Considering this has more battery cells than the Panasonic one, the extended use is pretty clear. Also, this charges fine using the charger that came with my GH3 camera, though once it's on the charger, it tends to be a bit loose. So if your charger is placed in an angle or some weird position, just keep mindful that it won't completely secure it. This product is highly recommended if you need a battery backup. Plus, it saves you $$ buying this one instead of the actual branded one.

I got a pair of these batteries to serve as reserves for when I go on travel and need to use my camera a lot. I was also looking for something that lasted longer. I saw the 2000 mAh, versus the 1860 that comes with the camera so I thought it would last about 7.5% longer. It turns out it only lasts about 70% as long, about 1300 mAh. This is through several discharge and recharge cycles as well. However, they've been very reliable and I keep these as reserves for whenever I travel when my main battery runs out.

I love wasabi batteries. Best bang for the buck. You can buy two of these for a little less than the price of one branded battery. Therefore you get way more shooting time for less money. It’s a no-brainer.
