A perfect product! My hair is fabulously clean but soft still. Bottled commercial shampoos are detergents which strip your hair of sebum, oils, everything; then you *have* to condition heavily. Not so with Chagrin Valley shampoo bars - I am thrilled to discover this company and their beautiful products. No nasty chemicals like propylene glycol (which is antifreeze) to absorb across my skin and do god knows what in my body. Even Moroccan Oil has isopropyl alcohol (and propylene glycol, and a ton of other junk) in it, which is very drying to the hair. I use a dilute raw apple cider vinegar: filtered water rinse after rinsing the shampoo out, as a great detangler. I use 1-2 T vinegar per cup of filtered water, super easy to make and fast to use. You don't have to rinse that, and it won't smell like vinegar when it dries.

I have very short, baby fine hair and like a shampoo that helps give my hair a bit of volume. This bar lathers up very quickly into a creamy texture. I find it virtually odorless. It rinses well and I am quite satisfied with the results.

I use shampoo bars. So far this one has been the worst on my hair. My hair is usually shiny and looks healthy, since I’ve been using this it feels awful and looks like awful and dry and has a lot of static. It’s pretty bad :( I really wanted to like it. I may go back to my rye flour wash.

I really like this! I feel like my hairs grown a lot faster. However I felt it always left my hair feeling oily. Works great as a first shampoo though.

This coconut based organic soap has proved excellent for my thinning hair and slowly balding head. After washing daily, my hair are soft, shiny. They also dont get dry hair on the following day and hair loss has almost stopped after month of use. It produces good lather which cleans my hair and scalp without taking away essential hair and scalp oils. So far I have found it to be most suitable organic soap shampoo for my hair and scalp.

Works great, hair felt clean and soft no build up. But let me tell you, if you accidentally get this in your eye, just put yourself on the transplant list. It burns so BADLY! Even after flushing eye with water for an hour it felt terrible! Be careful!

I was skeptical, but I am beyond impressed! I wanted a natural hair shampoo and heard about the bars. This one had the best reviews and ratings. Lots of lather! Rinses clean and I needed NO conditioner! I have thick wavy hair and my hair is prone to tangle. I had NO problem combing thru after washing! I did notice the waxy feel as was suggested. ACV rinse should take care of that. I will be buying this again!

Great soap, skin softer and smoother
