I have had other mushroom jerky before and found them dry and the texture was stringy and I didnt love the taste, with THIS jerky and yes I have had all the flavors I found them moist and the texture is so amazing and the flavors are incredible!!!!! They do have a slight mushroom taste at the end but it is not a tin type flavor it's a roasted all day kind of flavor and they are my new addiction, alot of other people's as well as they are sold out just as fast as they come in most places, and I am in shock that something this incredible is good for you!!!!

The texture is not like a mushroom or jerky, it's like a gummy bear. The Original Mushroom flavor is awful and there is an aftertaste that is bad too. There is only 2.2 oz in the small package, it is less than half full for $12.50! You get a handful in the package. After one bite, I wanted to return it, but it is not eligible for returns. My husband and I both wanted to give it a try, since we saw it on Shark Tank, and the judges raved about the product. I don't think I would try another flavor because of the weird texture, I'll stick to a real meat jerky.

I love the rich umami satisfying taste of this mushroom jerky. I wish (now that I become older) it was made with less sugar, now that I can only ingest less than 24 grams of sugar a day, the whole package has 6gram of added sugar, which isn't awful, but I wish it has no sugar at all. The entire package has 16 grams of sugar, so now I must be cognizant that I can't scarf down the entire bag in one seating. I also wish that the full bag of 2.2 oz costs about $7.00 a bag. I recognize that shitake mushrooms cost way more than supermarket white button mushrooms. I do appreciate that that you post a kosher certification on the bag. My husband loves the Thai flavoring so I keep 3-4 bags around the house for him. I'd buy more if your sell price was 3-4.00 dollar range. With increased volume do you see the possibility of ever reducing your approximately $7.00 dollar sell price ? Or since my M.D. wants me to cut my sugar intake, perhaps the $7.00 price at Whole Foods keeps my sugar intake to a minimum !! Still I thank you & your partner coming up with this fabulous snack food 7 I wish you great success in the future. I will simply learn to eat 25% of your 2.2 oz bags over 4 days. This is a fantastic product. I appreciate that you came up with this meaty, yet vegan & Kosher snack food. I recommend all the Pan's Mushroom Jerky for everyone reading this review. I hope you exceed the anticipated sales you wished for on Shark Tank.

As the great sage Charles Barkley would say, this stuff is turrible. I mean, like real real bad. Maybe get it for a prank... for someone you hate and never want to talk to again.

Flavor was pretty good, definitely not mushroomy in flavor (though I like mushrooms). The consistency was fine too - I'm not sure what people are talking about it being stringy or chewy. Besides, even if it was, beef jerky (for example) is often both stringy and chewy. This all said, it isn't jerky. Some of the alternative jerkys I'd consider to be jerky but not this - too soft and not chewy. The other negative is the price point - quite expensive for what you get.
