I am now a professional pack mule (and my kids are royalty)
I bought the Schwinn Trailblazer because I wanted to be "the cool active parent." I imagined us gliding through the park, sunlight dappling through the trees, while I effortlessly pedaled toward a healthier lifestyle. The Reality: I am now essentially a sherpa for two small, demanding dictators who have realized that if they scream "FASTER, HORSEY!" loud enough, I will actually try to break the sound barrier on a slight incline. The Breakdown: The Build: This thing is solid. I was worried it would feel like pulling a cardboard box on wheels, but it’s more like a sturdy little lunar rover. It’s light enough that I don't die on flat ground, but heavy enough that I definitely know when my kids have secretly smuggled their entire rock collection inside. The "Plus" Conversion: The best part? When you unhook it from the bike, it turns into a stroller. A giant stroller. I feel like I’m pushing a chariot. People move out of my way at the farmer's market. I don't even have to say "excuse me"; the sheer wingspan of this thing commands respect. The Safety: The 5-point harness is so secure that even during a "spirited" turn (I thought I saw an ice cream truck), my children didn't budge. They just sat there, judging my cardio. The Screen: The bug screen is a life-saver. Not only does it keep the bees out, but it also acts as a "French fry containment unit." Any snacks they drop stay in the trailer instead of becoming road salt. One Small Note: Be prepared for "The Leg Burn." Pulling 80lbs of toddlers and juice boxes up a hill will make your quads look like they were carved out of mahogany. I went to put on jeans yesterday and they just gave up. Final Verdict: If you want to trick your children into thinking you’re a theme park ride while you secretly get the best workout of your life, this is for you.

Perfect with my e-bike!
My only regret is not buying this trailer sooner - my toddler loves going on bike rides, and Schwinn just made it easier and safer to get the wind in our hair. This trailer is sturdy and doesn't affect how I ride, I just need to be mindful of the width because we have a larger footprint now. I have an e-bike (a Rad City Step Thru 3 from Rad Power Bikes), and originally had my toddler in a Thule Yepp - a rear-mounted child seat that shifted the center of gravity uncomfortably high for me. My husband had no problem with the kid, but I am a poor counterbalance and we fell more often than I would like to admit because the weight was unnaturally high and too heavy for me - enter trailer shopping - not just for weights and balances, but for my child's safety. I was won over by reviewers assuring that if the trailer remains stable if the lead bike falls, plus I liked the apparent ease of child insertion and removal, and I just felt like I could trust Schwinn. So I similarly hope that this review helps other petite riders who aren't loving their Thule Yepp. ASSEMBLY - The trailer was easily assembled in about 20 minutes. Only one part didn't jive with my bike - we needed to replace the hub nut because the one that arrived with the trailer had an unexpected flange. My nearest local hardware store had what I needed for $0.40. After an empty-trailer test voyage, I loaded up the kid (a tall toddler) and we took our first ride - it was a success! STORAGE - The storage space in the back is a huge plus. I've shared a photo with a standard gallon jug for size reference. Be advised that the only firm section in the trailer is the child seat, so the sample jug was in an unsupported hammock; heavy items will center themselves and may eventually stretch out the fabric. This is perfect for lightweight hauling like picnic supplies, emergency diapers, and light jackets. REAR REFLECTOR - The single-kid Trailblazer does come with a tiny reflector on the bottom left, so I looped a reflective belt to the frame for extra visibility. We don't often ride at night, but those short winter days are still great for riding. This belt does not affect access to the back, or any other canopy function. SPEED - Be advised that the trailer is recommended to NOT exceed 10mph...so we'll learn to cruise at slower speeds. TL;DR Buy the trailer. It's easy to assemble, spacious, and seemingly comfortable. Great companion with an e-bike with a small modification 🚲

Cheap alternative to the high end trailers.
This is a pretty well built model compared to some of the cheaper trailers. The steel spoke wheels are better than the plastic models, and the five point harness is a much better design than the last trailer we had. Though the frame is steel the whole thing is lightweight (30 lbs) and is easily assembled. I can have the trailer from folded to ready to ride in about 5 minutes. The removable rain cover snaps and velcros on easily. There are a series of straps under the seat that I think most people miss that really strengthen the floor. Our son is 25 lbs and it was no issue to do a 10 mile ride easily. We also really like the storage area behind the seat. We can store water, snacks, some extra bike and trailer tools, and 3 hoodies in case the weather turned.

Great quality at a great price
I looked at several bike trailers and decided on this based on the cost and other reviews. We’ve been super happy with it. My 2.5 yr old weighs a little less than 30 lbs and I thought it might be difficult to pull. It’s so easy! It doesn’t require much assembly which I loved. The coupler was easy to install and taking the trailer on and off is fairly easy. We haven’t had to collapse it as we just leave it in the garage so I can’t speak to that. So happy with this purchase.

This trailer was easy to set up and install on the bike. The wheels are air-filled, so they're a little more forgiving than hard plastic. It's easy to get kids into and out of the trailer. Just be sure to buy a helmet that does not protrude extensively in the back as the seat doesn't recline (and a big helmet will force your child to lean forward).
