Carafe Compatible With Technivorm 89830 1.25L/40oz Glass Carafe, 10 Cup Carafe Replacement Compatible With Moccamaster KBG/CDG/KBGV Select/CD Series Coffee Machines, Scratch-resistant and durable.

An honest three months review Had this carafe for approximately three months and these are my observations: First, the quality is better than the original Technivorm 89830 1.25L/40oz Glass Carafe, 10 Cup Carafe Replacement Compatible With Moccamaster KBG/C. Secondly, it is heavier, well made. Third, is less expensive than the original carafe. Now the several negatives: for some reason the carafe starts to get a yellow/brownish stain on the glass. The screw on the handle became loose. How did I fix these two problems:: on the yellow/brownish stain I used Dawn Platinum Plus Powerwash Dish Spray to remove the stain. Prior to using the Dawn Platinum Plus Powerwash Dish Spray, I tried several soaps, including the Dawn EZ-Squeeze Platinum Liquid Dish Soap, to no avail. Also used regular Dawn Platinum Dishwashing Liquid Dish Soap with no results. After using Dawn Platinum Plus Powerwash Dish Spray the carafe look like new. On the loose screw on the handle I used Loctite Threadlocker Blue 242 to safely secured the screw. Warning do not use the washing machine to wash any of the accessories due causing the accessories to brittle and eventually braking. I have the Moccamaster KBG coffee maker for over six years with no problems. The moment, mistakenly, washed the accessories in the washing machine and after the third time I noticed that the accessories have become very brittle and not too long after that I had to replaced them due to damage.

Quick delivery, perfect fit, perfect replacement. Great to be back brewing again instead of waiting for overpriced out-of-stock OEM carafe. Even the top from the original fits, though it came, as shown with its own.

The way the plastic handle attaches to the glass pot is via a hook over the top lip of the pot and a metal band around the base where the bottom of the handle screws in. I've had this pot for about 3 months and the band has loosened enough through normal use that the top hook comes off easily. I'm surprised I didn't spill hot coffee on myself or break the pot the first time it happened. The design is so bad that I should be able to return the item, but unfortunately it lasted just outside of the Amazon return window. DO NOT BUY. Shop for one with a better design like the OEM pot from Moccamaster.

This replacement coffee pot fits perfectly and works just like the original. The glass is sturdy, the handle feels solid, and it pours without dripping. It was a quick and affordable fix that saved me from having to buy a whole new coffee maker. Very happy with this purchase!

Perfect fit for my coffee maker

For the price you pay for a Moccamaster, it ought to include this carafe! Better glass, feels substantial, perfect fit and doesn't spill coffee. The spout on this carafe is perfect for pouring coffee, unlike the Moccamaster which had me and visitors constantly spilling coffee (SLOWLY and methodically going at great measures to be careful). Don't get me wrong, I love my Moccamaster. Best drip, no frills, coffee maker that is consistent in temp and quality. 4 years and going strong. The carafe that comes with the Moccamaster doesn't seem to match the quality of the rest of the device. If you are placing an order for a Moccamaster, order this carafe and keep the one that comes with the Moccamaster as a backup.

This carafe has a larger capacity than the machine it’s designed for, so it’s easy to overfill the reservoir on the machine. Also the hinge pegs for the lid are too short so the lid will accidentally pop off frequently.

Moccamaster is amazing along with the Panosonic toaster are my 2 favorite used everyday items. I break a glass carafe a year. The original carafe is magical as it does not fog up and looks beautiful. This replacement works equally as well but is thicker glass so it fogs up doesn’t look as sleek but is definitely sturdier. As with most things it’s the difference between Lalique and Lenox.

Great at the start but after 6 months the handle has failed and the jug is unusable.
