What pressure is required for better function?

if you have high water pressure the the spray tips will go flying off into space, never to be seen again.i'v had two of these, one a replacement, and same problem.possibly a design flaw.if you have low water pressure you might be ok

What kind of connector do I need if I’m connecting to a hose? Female to female, male to male?

The sprinkler comes with an adapter and is built with a female receptacle. You take it from there.

Where do I get an adaptor?

I just use with a regular hose. It comes with an extra adapter but it fits with a regular garden hose.

Is the top supposed to spin around?mine is not

It might just be stuck, although mine is actually broken now. I used to be able to spin it by hand and get it freed up
