Does the job, looks nice and saved money
Ordered one day, got it the next. Very, very good quality metal and assembly, better than I expected for the price. Had read other people who had bought this mount say that it didn't come with the screws to fit their projector and it was hard to figure out. The mounting to the projector was a little interesting at first but looking at some pictures on line and letting my imagination work, it wasn't bad. Reading about the screws and such, i had already stopped by the home improvement store and bought extra screws and washers for "just in case". ended up using the shorter screws and a few washers that I had bought instead of the ones that came with the until. Quality of the bolts, nuts, washers that the mount is built with is good, but the tools they provide aren't very good. The Allen wrench is OK, but the box wrench is near worthless, have a 10mm box end wrench handy for the adjustments. Mounting to the ceiling was easy enough. Finding the correct place for mounting is harder than the mounting itself. My projector is light weight and the mount doesn't weigh much so I had plenty of room to play, and was lucky enough to come near a ceiling stud, so adapted my measurements to use that stud for two bolts. I did use shorter lag bolt than the ones furnished, made the job easier. I think I spent about $3 on extra materials (bolts, screws, washers). Mount looks nice up on the ceiling even though it doesn't have the fancy covers some of the more expensive mounts have. If your projector weighs less than 25-30 pounds, there's no reason, so I thought, to spend more money. My ceiling is 11' and not vaulted, my projector weighs just over 6 lb.

It works great. I feel like this mount is good quality ...
I just installed this into a BenQ W770ST. It works great. I feel like this mount is good quality and fairly heavy duty. It didn't bend in weird ways or anything like that. It is pretty solid! My projector has three mount holes, so i had to play with it a little bit to get the attachment arms right, but once I did it is solid as a rock. Also the little spacers you need that go between the projector and the arms are kind of weird. Don't overtighten them. I broke one, but luckily because it came with 4 and i only needed 3, i had an extra. The ceiling mount portion worked well and was really simple to install. The screws are huge (which is great), so make sure you have a fully charged and powerful drill to drive them into the ceiling joists. The hardest part of the install by far for me was finding the ceiling joist. My stud finder wasn't working, so i tried to measure from where my joists are exposed in the laundry room and translate those measurements to the living room. I was about 3 inches off, so i drilled 3 test holes before i found the joist. It's nothing that a little drywall mud and touchup paint won't fix though, so not a big deal.

Would I recommend it? Depends on what you're looking for....
A sturdy ceiling mount that gets the job done. I purchased this one above all others I looked at because of the amount of adjustments available, the color, and the price. It was fairly easy to assemble and the kit comes with many different screws and washers to fit your exact projector. Mine is a BenQ W1070 and I did need to stack up a few washers to get the screws to sit tightly to my projector, but it is very sturdy. The biggest drawback is that the ceiling mount piece only screws in to a joist in one direction. You'd better hope your ceiling joists run parallel to your screen if you want to take advantage of the full features of this mount. My joists are perpendicular, so some of the finer adjustments that this mount is capable of simply won't work, because the mount is technically facing a side wall (not the screen). Another downside is the height is not adjustable. I have a lowered ceiling beam running right along the area of the projector. I would have liked to lower the projector by 1-2 inches so the projector could have been located closer to the beam while still allowing room for HDMI and power cables. Instead, I had to move the projector closer to the wall, restricting my maximum screen size. All in all, I am happy with the mount because it is installed, calibrated, and it is holding my projector. I'm not going to take it down after all the effort of installing it to return it. But, if I had known that I would have liked to have more control over the exact projector placement, I probably would have looked for a model that had an adjustable height and some kind of swiveling base. If you are just looking for an adaptable (yet basic) ceiling mount, than this one offers more options than many basic models.

Great projector with flexibility and accommodation of different mounting possibilities
I liked that this project mount which came with a lot of hardware including extension arms to facilitate the installation of a wide range of projectors. For example, I used all the extension arms for me Epson projector. This mount is truly a universal one. I also like this mount because this mount provides great versatility of ways to adjust the position/posture of the mounted projector, e.g., tiling/rotating/shifting, etc. Last but not the least, the price is very fair. Overall I am very pleased with the unit as it worked perfectly and the installation is solid. Hopefully this will last for a long (the material seems to be quite durable)

Versatile Mount!
I spent quite a bit of time researching different projector mounts and reading reviews. It was a bit challenging on deciding which one to get and whether or not it actually fits my Epson 3200 Home Cinema model. I am glad that I ordered this mount. With the given hardware, you can tell that alot of thought was put into the design of this mount and how it can accommodate a "universal" configuration. You can move the arms of the mount in many directions and extend or retract them based on the positioning of the mounting holes on your projector with the additional hardware that's provided. I would say that the only downside is that the screws were a bit longer than required for my projector, even though they provided several different types of screws. I ended up going to Home Depot and purchasing the proper screw length. A really minor issue in my opinion. I don't think I would take a star away from the rating just for this inconvenience of a couple dollars to get the proper screws. Quality is great and that's what my rating is based on.

QualGear PRB-717-WHT Universal Ceiling Mount
Ok, not used to reviewing products but they'll never be better if we don't let the manufacturers know how we feel about their product. So, here goes. I received the product today and after looking at all of the pieces and looking through the manual, it was fairly easy to figure out. I think the manual made it more complicated than it had to be. In any case, I got it assembled and hung easily enough but adjusting it was a whole other matter. It took some doing to get it leveled and secured. Far too many screws needing to be adjusted to get the vertical and horizontal image leveled and secured. After tweaking the 6 adjustment screws I finally got my projector to a place that I can live with. Luckily, it's on the ceiling and no one should bump into it so it should be fine. Pros: easily installed and the pieces connect easy enough. It's seems pretty sturdy for now and should last. Con: Tightening and securing the projector placement wasn't as easy. Would I recommend this ceiling mount or purchase it again, NO!

This is a great product at an amazing price
This is a great product at an amazing price. This is one of those products that's 1000x easier to install if you have the right tools. First, you'll want to have a wrench for screwing in the very long M8 screws. Second, you'll definitely want to have a screwdriver with assorted-size square recess heads. Ok, now here's the really important tip that you'll be very glad you read when you go to install this thing: when you're trying to make the vertical tilt adjustments, the method in the instruction manual (simply turning the screws on the outside) won't work because the nut moves with the screw. But there's an easy fix for this. For each side, take the included flatwrench tool with the nut hole in it, and clamp it on to the nut on the inside of the screw. Then take your square recess head screwdriver and turn the screw on the outside. The wrench tool will start to rotate with the nut, but will quickly catch on the top or bottom, which will do the job of holding the nut stationary as you turn the screw! Just be careful with this method, you may want to wear goggles or watch the angle you're at as the flatwrench will sometimes come loose and fall/bounce toward you. I've seen other say that mounting the projector is a two-person job. At least if you're using a consumer-size projector and not the giant ones, it's very easy to do it by yourself. Overall this worked perfectly for me with an Espon 705HD and I can't believe it was so inexpensive.

Works, Versatile, Recommend
Pros: Very Versatile, works for several different types of projectors. Includes 4 sliders that can be adjusted to reach any screw holes in the projector. You can detach one if your projector only has 3 holes or less. It is holding my 8 Lb BenQ Projector with no problems. The box says it holds up to 30 Lbs. There is plenty of space between the ceiling and projector but its not too long (positive). Comes with spacers also if the bottom of your projector is not level or has raised areas. I screwed in 2 screws (provided) into my ceiling wood stud and its doing the job great. The amount of versatility in tilting, rotating, any adjustment you need to make can be done. Cons: I do not think, in my opinion, that the set up is simple. You need power drills and various hand tools. I would get someone to install this that is handy. Overall if you are handy or know someone who is, and you would like a versatile mount that can hold decent weight, I do recommend. Looks sleek and does the job. I also like the hook system, where you install the ceiling mount, then you install projector mount, and then hook into eachother and screw. Very nice.
