Carson Dellosa Comprehensive Curriculum of Basic Skills Second Grade Workbook, Reading Comprehension, Language Arts, Spelling, Grammar, Math, and Writing Practice, Classroom or Homeschool Curriculum

This has been such a helpful resource for our homeschool routine. I don't use it straight through cover to cover-instead, I break it up and spread the lessons out over the year so it doesn't feel overwhelming. The nice thing is that it covers a little bit of everything: math, reading, spelling, writing, and more, so I can easily pull a page that matches whatever subject we're focusing on that day. I really like that it's thorough without being too repetitive, and it gives me confidence that I'm hitting the basics while still leaving room to add on other resources or activities when I want. My child responds well to the layout-it's clear, straightforward, and not cluttered, which makes it less intimidating. If you're looking for a well-rounded workbook that can grow with your second grader throughout the year, this one is definitely worth having on the shelf.

Love it. Exactly as described!

Great for homeschooling

I have one gifted and one special ed. second grader that I homeschool. This book is a little easier and works well for the special ed. student. It explains with examples how to do each concept. There is an answer key at the back of the book. I think this would have made for a really good summer bridge book from 1st-2nd grade. Seems too easy for even my standards for a general population common core second grade. I would have marked five stars if there were some science and social studies. Why do the younger grades not focus on that???? Overall, I am pleased we have it to work out of.

I can really appreciate this workbook. My son works through it with ease as it’s very colorful and easy on the eyes. I’d call it kid friendly.

Great book

This is the second book of this brand that I've used for homeschooling my kid. Pretty good for what it is.

I like this book. My 6 year old likes this book. We love the variety, so if you have to do some 'academic' work in your plan for the day, but dont feel like doing spelling, you can flip to the reading chapter, to the maths chapter, to the comprehension chapter. Its very clearly laid out, its fun (where a lot of Grade 2 material can be made to look pretty boring)and looks fun, and seems to cover most of the basics. It is NOT a be all and end all for a Grade 2-er, but for someone not following a set curriculum, this is a great provider of material so you know you are covering your bases. It could also be a great top-up if for some reason you need to top up what is happening at your school, or for example to cover in a summer. I would really recommend this.

Ótimo para atividades nas férias. Dinâmico. Atende a série da criança.

The book is interesting, children love to work on it.

Perfecto!

livre très ludique et très amusant, pour apprendre le vocabulaire. Dommage de ne pas voir l'intérieur quand on passe la commande !
