The product is exceptionally sturdy and lacks any flimsy elements. The sole area where I would suggest improvement is the length of the handle. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this product.

I have a new deck and needed a shovel that wouldn’t scratch the boards. This shovel worked great. It didn’t scratch, it’s lightweight and the snow just slid off. I’m a grandma with a bad back and I used it easily.

expensive, but heavy and worth it you won't break this if you use it for a snow shovel and it can take the cold and heat without cracking. they use these to shovel all types of frozen food all day even ice..

New England got hit with a ton of snow on 22 Feb 2026. But it afforded the perfect opportunity to put to the test and see how this shovel would manage ~14" of heavy snow from my Trex deck and 18 steps ... without scratching the boards. I delighted to report this shovel held up well and passed muster (I'm a tough critic). Its smaller size is appropriate for me (5'2"). And it is not a tool that will soon be thrown away; so I give it points for durability. The vibrant yellow stands out.

I shovel a lot of wood chips and seem to destroy a couple aluminum scoop shovels a year. I decided to spend the extra money for this one. I waited to review until I had a chance to unload about a dozen truck loads of chips. I am happy to say it is holding up. You can see some flex if the chips are wet but I did not feel like it was going to crack or snap. The only reason it is not a 5 is because it is a little smaller than the aluminum shovels. I estimate about 3 scoops from an aluminum shovel equals 4 scoops from this shovel. Another thing to be aware of is that it is a softer material. I hit a bolt head under the chips when taking a scoop and it put a scratch down the bottom. If you are running this over jagged or uneven metal it will probably not hold up as well as an aluminum shovel.

This shovel works much better than shovels designed for snow shoveling. It chips away ice without breaking or becoming deformed, and is easy to handle. I spray a little WD40 on it so snow doesn’t stick to it.

Good shovel. Made into a sand scoop for detecting at the beach. Nice and light.
