The $6.80 "add on item"..is it the actual game itself? i see another choice that is 40.00 so i am a bit confused

It is an actual game. Definitely not worth $40. I think I paid $9 for it. I bought it for my 4 year old granddaughter and she loves it. No complicated rules. Very basic and easy for her to understand, which was the main reason I bought it. The fact that it came with 4 Shopkins pieces was a big plus.

Does this game come with the roll of tape and smarties figures?

No. It came with different Shopkins. A hat, a stapler, telephone, and mascara tube. The box is also different. Very disappointed.

Can anyone tell me what season this game is? Thanks!

My 9 year old daughter said two of the game pieces (we got an apple and a cheese) are from season 1 and the other two pieces are exclusive to the game. Hope this helps!:)

When you land on switch places and one player ends up passing a token, do they take the token or do they have to do the board again?

You need one of each of the four tokens to win the game. So if one player skips a token, they must either find a way to skip back to it (runaway cart spaces are perfect for this), or pass through the end space and go around the entire board again (I had to do this once while playing with my two kids).
